Accenture is the remnants of the former Arthur Anderson CPA firm. This was the firm was conducting annual financial statement audits of Enron – the company that infamously went bankrupt in the early 2000s, tanking their employees retirement funds along with their downfall. Arthur Anderson was also providing consulting services to Enron – a major conflict of interest.
