Serpent Witch

An obviously fantastical interpretation of the Old European serpent witches. As the Aryan influence brought Gods like the Aesir, the old ways were initiated into odd cults like those sought by Odin. Gythjar, Volvar, assorted witches and seeresses probably represented the paleolithic traditions being brought into neolithic with their cthonic and serpentine lore, association with death and secrets. Fun to think about. This was done in Indian Ink on Bristol Board.
